Dominic Angres, LPC, CADC
is the Program Manager at Positive Sobriety Institute, has a Masters in Clinical Professional Psychology and is a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC). He serves as an advocate and an ambassador to individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders and dual diagnoses. He functions as the clinical liaison between the patient and their referral source, and facilitates a smooth transition into the appropriate level of care for treatment. He is accessible seven days/week to answer questions and offer guidance. He has created an outstanding reputation as an empathic, knowledgeable resource to patients, families, referral sources and community liaisons. In addition, Dominic expertly facilitates continuing care for patients post discharge and coordinates PSI alumni affairs.
Dominic Angres started his career as a research assistant at Resurrection Behavioral Health. While in graduate school he worked in a medical stabilization program for alcohol and drug dependence at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago. When he completed his graduate studies Dominic joined the addiction treatment team at Gateway Foundation as both a counselor and admissions coordinator. He also served on the community outreach team at Chicago Lake Shore Hospital. Most recently Dominic worked as a transcranial magnetic stimulation coordinator and individual and group counselor for TMS Chicago. This cutting edge treatment for resistant depressions broadened Dominic’s knowledge and passion for mental health and addiction treatment.
Dominic is following in the pioneering footsteps of his parents, Dr. Dan Angres and Kathy Angres, who are nationally known for their seminal work in treating addictions. He is an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast.
