Mary Kate Clucas, LPC
Mary Kate Clucas holds her Masters degree in Clinical Counseling from DePaul University. Currently, she is an evening IOP therapist at Positive Sobriety Institute, with experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment, community mental health outreach, outpatient settings and in residential mental health and addiction facilities.
Mary Kate specializes in treating a diverse range of individuals with substance abuse and/or other process addictions, anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma, women’s issues and life transitions.
Dedicated to helping those in need by utilizing eclectic and collaborative treatment approaches to facilitate positive change, Mary Kate uses a psychodynamic approach. She integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing into her approach. Mary Kate works with her clients to address challenging thoughts, emotions and experiences in a safe and welcoming clinical environment. She is committed to helping her clients reach their maximum potential by providing empowerment, support and encouragement.
